This destination has many assets, particularly for lovers of the great outdoors. Mountain biking, hiking, water sports in the Tarn gorges and fishing are all available. The Grands Causses Natural Park, overlooked by the Millau Viaduct (open to visitors!), covers almost a third of the department.

As for gastronomy, one does not die of hunger in Aveyron ;) the cuisine is rich, diversified and particularly greedy. To quote you some jewels: Aligot, Roquefort, Tripous or the spit cake.

Finally, to visit Aveyron is to discover the sites of the Knights Templar Hospitallers such as la Couvertoirade, La Cavalerie, Saint-Jean d’Alcas, to cross villages labelled “Most beautiful villages of France” such as Conques, Belcastel, Brousse le Château (Aveyron has no less than ten of them, the national record! ).
