The site of Ensérune is a gaulish village, one of the most important citadels of the Mediterranean Midi.
The excavations, which have been underway since 1915, have revealed the remains of a dwelling dating back to the middle of the 6th century BC and lasting until the start of the 1st century AD.
All the archeological objects discovered on the site have been put on display in the museum which is home to a number of outstanding collections.
Admire also the wonderful view over the Montady pond.
Important renovation works began at the archaeological site of Enserune. We do everything to welcome you in the best conditions on spring 2021. By then, the site can be occasionally closed.
Temporary closure of the site for works until summer 2021.
