The Musée de la Romanité: an innovative museum with 5,000 works on display
This museum, with its international reputation, is a splendid showcase for some 5,000 heritage works of exceptional archaeological and artistic value, displayed over an area of more than 3,000 m2 (out of a total of 9,000 m2).
They invite visitors to enjoy a unique historical experience spanning 25 centuries, thanks to an immersive museography (65 multimedia displays).

A real place to live, with its restaurant, La Table du 2, and its Mediterranean garden.
This 3,500 m² public green space is structured in three layers corresponding to the major periods (Gallic, Roman and Medieval) of the museum’s itinerary.
For each level, the trees, shrubs and perennials have been chosen according to the period in which they were introduced, as a result of exchanges, influences and occupations.
Finally, the roof-top is the high point of the ascent. It punctuates the visit by offering a 360° view of Nîmes, with the Arènes in the foreground.
