Saint-Adrien garden
These medieval basalt quarries have been transformed into a spectacular landscaped garden of 4 hectares (about 10 acres)–a genuine oasis where the volcanic rock is now surrounded by a lush vegetation and cool stretches of water. The sky and the earth lead you to discover the garden step by step : an extraordinary diversity of plant species and rock, light and water are used to create a series of remarkable natural scenes. Listed in the top five «Parcs de France» in 2003 by the Association of Journalists of Gardening and Horticulture. Bonpland Award in 2000, given by the National Society of Horticulture of France.
